Terrorists in the Military: The Legacy of Political Correctness

James HudnallPosted by James Hudnall Feb 25th 2010 at 5:08 am in Featured Story, Terrorism

On November 5, Major Nidal Hasan, an Army Psychiatrist, walked into the Solider Readiness Center in Fort Hood, Texas and shot 43 people. Thirteen died. While he fired at them he shouted Allahu Akbar, like a stereotypical Muslim terrorist. The military should have known it was coming. He had given away all his worldly goods beforehand. He’d been in contact with radical Muslim extremeists for months including Anwar al-Awlaki, an Imam known as the “Bin Laden of the internet.”

Naturally, the first reaction from the authorities was to tell everyone not to leap to conclusions. And of course, for days afterward they were saying it wasn’t a terrorist incident. Who can forget President Obama’s reaction to the shooting, giving a shout out to someone with a smile on his face before dealing with the matter as if, “Oh yeah, there were some people shot in Texas.”
The government bent over backwards to try to make it out to be a lone nut incident and there was no mention of Islam in the Army’s initial 86-page report.
When the facts came out it was revealed that the military already knew Hasan was a risk and did nothing out of political correctness, it created quite a stir. People had to die before the military would look at how absurd its policies have been. Apparently, they need to look into them some more:
The U.S. Army is investigating allegations that soldiers were attempting to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson in South Carolina.
The ongoing probe began two months ago, Chris Grey, a spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division, told Fox News.
The Army is taking the allegations “extremely seriously,” Grey said, but so far, “there is no credible information to support the allegations.”
Five suspects, detained in December, were part of an Arabic translation program called “09 Lima” and use Arabic as their first language, two sources told Fox News. Another military source said they were Muslim. It wasn’t clear whether they were still being held.
Obviously, the military needs Arabic translators. But in a wartime situation, you’ve got to be careful who you hire. The military had recent problems with gang infiltration. Gangs like the Crips, Bloods, Hells Angels, Latin Kings, Mexican Mafia have managed to get into the services in order to get military training, steal weapons for the black market, even engage in drug distribution. So if gangs can do it there’s no reason to doubt that radical Islamists wouldn’t take the same course. Killing a lot of American soldiers from inside a military base, on the US no less, would be a big coup for them. This is a war and they take it seriously.
Many politicians and media types fail to grasp the severity of the war on terror. It’s not a joke. It’s not some Bush/Cheney conspiracy. The Islamists have been at this for a long time. Long before 9/11. Even before the Islamic Revolution in Iran. If you haven’t seen it, you should check out this interview Bill Whittle did for PJTV with a couple whistleblowers people about Islamic infiltration in our government. It’s an eye opener. Our government is blindly working with Islamic front groups to try to find ways to prosecute the war on terror without offending Muslims. They’re telling them our tactics and secrets.
No wonder they think they can beat us.
celebrate
With this kind of mindless strategy, terrorism should come as no surprise. Terrorists have stepped up their attacks since Obama took office. We had no attacks in the US after 9/11/2001 until last year. The administration has anti-profiling edicts out. It’s like a “kick me” sign on our backs put there by Barack Hussein Obama.
Until the government and this administration realize that we’re engaged in a real war and political correctness will get people killed, more incidents are bound to happen. But watch them try to blame the Joe Stack incident on conservatives and Tea Parties instead of dealing with the real root causes. DHS and Janet Napolitano will be all over it.

Lambikin Media Gives Their Hero Obama a Big Fat Pass

Ron FutrellPosted by Ron Futrell Feb 25th 2010 at 7:12 am in Healthcare, The Constitution

Isn’t this special? The leftist activist media boobs (LAMBS) are talking about how transparent President Barack Obama is by televising today’s “Made for TV HealthCare Event.” The media has doubled down on the charade by saying that Obama was fulfilling a “campaign promise of transparency.” What? Have the LAMBS not been paying attention for the last year? Transparency is happening now only because Democrats got their trash handed to ‘em.

Let’s provide a little help to my friends in the media. I’ll make it simple. Obama and the Democrats have worked for the last year at shutting out Republicans. Closed-door meetings, only Democrats, only Democrats. Republicans weren’t invited and weren’t even told when and where the meetings would be held.  There were no cameras in the meetings and we were not told much of what happened. I wrote about this last month.
Republicans proposed three bills last year and none of them even got out of Committee. They were never considered. The LAMBS ignore this fact and still smile as they call Republicans the party of no. They were told no by the Democrats three times. Is that what the LAMBS mean, by the party of no? Republicans kept hearing no.  Said Obama of today’s meeting:
lambs
I don’t want to see this meeting turn into political theater.
That’s like the Executive Producer of the play on Broadway telling the actors to leave their scripts home and forget what they had learned for the last year and make up their own impromptu performance. Anybody think that’s going to happen? Me either.
As part of the President’s plan (oh—he finally has a plan of his own. For the past 13 months the President has been able to conveniently distance himself from the House and Senate versions whenever he wanted to because, you see, he didn’t actually have a plan) American citizens would still be forced to buy health insurance. If I’m a Republican in that meeting I cut through all the crap that we will see and tell the President that forcing Americans to buy anything is unconstitutional. Having taken the Oath of Office, I would not vote for an unconstitutional bill. You can talk all the details you want about what this “healthcare” plan is—-I would just say it’s unconstitutional, and that would be more than enough. Oh, along that vein, I would bring in a large “Made for TV” copy of the tenth amendment. You know the tenth amendment, dontcha?
tenth amendment
Right, that’s the one that says that if it aint specifically written in the Constitution you leave it to the states. That’s what Massachusetts did, they decided to come up with their own healthcare plan. States can do that. Feds cannot. Unconstitutional Strike Two.
One more word of advice to Republicans going to this meeting today, if Democrats want to change America to this degree, and make no doubt, this will change the entire fabric of our nation, tell them to propose a constitutional amendment. It’s been done before, try it again. We have 27 amendments to the U.S. constitution (counting the ten Bill of Rights), try to make it 28. See how America reacts to this as part of the Constitution itself and widen this debate. You wanna see transparency, we’ve got your transparency right here, take this 2,000 page bill (or whatever it is now) and take it to the people and see what they think of it. The Constitution itself is written on four pages of parchment. See what Americans think of adding 2,000 pages that nobody can understand to our Constitution.
Come on, Mr. President, if your bill is that great, America will be swooning over it, voting for it, and thanking you for it every step of the way. This is the hero moment you’ve been waiting for! Propose a change to the Constitution. You remember the Constitution, don’t you?

Sen. Conrad: The House Goes First or ObamaCare Dies (Thank You Senator DeMint)

Posted by Dan Perrin (Profile)

Thursday, February 25th at 7:28AM EST

Senator Conrad, the Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee said yesterday that reconciliation can only be used if the House passes the Senate bill first. As Sen. Conrad declared, “I don’t know of any way, I don’t know of any way where you can have a reconciliation bill pass before the bill that it is meant to reconcile passes.” Neither do I.

Then, the kicker: “When reminded that House Democrats don’t want to do health care in that order, Conrad said bluntly: ‘Fine, then it’s dead.‘”

Now, the Speaker finds herself in the position of having to pass a bill she says she does not have the votes to pass.

Without passing the Senate bill she can’t pass, the Speaker can’t do reconciliation. (See Sen. Conrad, above.)

OK. Now, this next part is really, really important.

The Speaker and the White House find themselves in this position because of Senator DeMint (R-SC). He insisted that Senator McConnell object to the appointment of the House-Senate Conferees, thus preventing a Conference on the bill.

The inability of the Dems to have a House-Senate Conference then forced the Speaker to have a House floor vote on the Senate bill, which she can’t pass. And there the process has been stuck. Has not moved an inch since Sen. DeMint’s objection. It can’t, she does not have the votes.

The Speaker could fix the Senate bill on the House floor by amendment, then pass the Senate bill amended and fixed, but then it would have to go back to the Senate, where it would have to get 60 yes votes, or die. Since it will not get 60 votes ever again in the Senate, it will die — if the Speaker tries the amend the Senate bill on the House floor and send it back to the Senate route.

When Senator DeMint (R-SC) denied the Speaker the ability to fix the bill in Conference, he put the Speaker and the White House in their current box. If there had been a House-Senate Conference, then the House could have fixed the bill without a floor vote and the bill could have changed, without having to send it back to the Senate to face 60 vote margins.

But now, they can’t have a conference, and the Speaker and the White House must pass the unpassable Senate bill, in order to even try reconciliation.

When the Democrats finally admit ObamaCare is dead, historians should note, this is the single act that killed it. And it was such an artistic assassination of the bill.

Even with a city full of people watching the process, and who all saw the House and Senate Conference be denied, all the chattering heads and analysts did not understand what it meant, until it was too late

Declaration of Tea Party Independence

I. As the course of human events winds its way through History, it has found some paths
lead to Tyranny and some to Liberty. In seeking a path to Liberty, a great and powerful
movement is now rising from every corner of our land. Created by the Will of the
American People, it rejects unconstitutional domination by the Government that is
supposed to be its servant. This movement has arisen, in large part, because our elected
officials have failed us.

For much of its history the United States has been a land of prosperity and liberty, sound
policies such as fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government and a belief in
the free market have safeguarded this condition. In recent years however, Congress, the
President, the Federal Reserve Board and the Courts have replaced those practices with
profligate government spending and expansion of the government power beyond what is
constitutionally permissible.

This course, if not reversed, can only lead to economic collapse and tyranny.
Therefore, Individuals acting through the Tea Party Movement, seek to restore the
policies, which are proven to safeguard liberty and prosperity for all. We will organize,
demonstrate and vote until this restoration has been achieved. We will stay focused on
this goal and remain INDEPENDENT from any persons or political parties who seek to
distract us from this end.
Many seek to define this Movement, to use it, to lead it, to co-opt it, to channel it, to
control it, to defeat it.

WE WILL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN.

The Tea Party Movement is in agreement with our Founders that the government that
governs least governs best. We believe that Capitalism – NOT GOVERNMENT - is
essential to the creation of wealth and a vastly reduced government provides the
foundation for a thriving Capitalist system.

The Tea Party Movement of America embraces and serves people of all races, creeds,
religions, and political affiliations, and we declare ourselves to be independent of all
those forces that seek to manipulate our actions or control our destiny.
II. We Declare ourselves INDEPENDENT of the Democrat Party and its power drunk
junta in Washington DC, which is currently seeking to impose a Socialist agenda on our
Republic.

We reject arrogant Left-wing politicians who furtively hide from public scrutiny, as they
cut corrupt deals loaded with earmarks and pork in order to produce 2000 page pieces of
legislation so purposely incomprehensible, they do not even bother to read them before
foisting them upon us.
We reject the endless creation of myriad federal government agencies that drown free
enterprise and local control in the swarms of education, energy, ecology, and commerce
bureaucrats who style themselves “czars” sent to harass us. We reject the creation of
federal government regulations and agencies which demand the States pay for unfunded
Federal mandates.

We reject a Democrat Party which refuses to give credence to our demands for just
redress of grievances and which insults and seeks to demonize our legal right to
peacefully protest the unjust laws it inflicts upon us.
We reject a profligate Government that is spending TRILLIONS of dollars on worthless
socialist schemes designed to bankrupt us and put the American people in a position of
dependence on the State, as peasants begging for their very sustenance from self-styled
“educated classes” and so-called “experts”.

We reject a foreign policy which bows and scrapes and apologizes before the world for
America.

We reject an Attorney General of the United States who offers succor and rights to
vicious terrorist murderers and seeks to protect them with a mock civilian trial when such
enemy combatants, captured on the field of battle, should be tried in secure military
courts.

We reject the claims of an un-elected Federal Judiciary to violate the separation of
powers by demanding its decisions be enforced by the other coequal branches of
government, regardless of how unconstitutional the other branches of government may
think those decisions are.

We reject all acts that ignore or diminish the 2nd and 10th Amendments to the US
Constitution and we seek to have all powers not delegated to the United States by the
Constitution to be reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

III. We Declare ourselves INDEPENDENT of the Republican Party, which has in the
past manipulated its Conservative Base to win election after election and which then
betrays everything that Base fought for and believed.
We reject the idea that the electoral goals of the Republican Party are identical to the
goals of the Tea Party Movement or that this Movement is an adjunct to the Republican
Party.

We reject the Republican Party professionals who now seek to use the Tea Party
Movement for their corrupt and narrow political purposes.

We acknowledge that standing on our principles does not mean throwing out our
common sense; we will NOT abandon our principles in the name of a nonexistent
bipartisanship or a misguided devotion to an illusion of “pragmatism”, which disguises a
desire to betray us in its name.

We reject the scare tactics of the Republican Party, which seeks to herd us into voting for
candidates who supposedly represent the “lesser of two evils” in the name of fealty to the
principle of small government and then having to suffer such candidates as they betray
that principle. We are not well served by parasites whose livelihoods depend on the very
State whose power to reward or sanction we elected them to limit and proscribe.

We insist that the Tea Party Movement does NOT consider the election of Republicans in
and of itself to be necessarily beneficial to our goals.

We demand the Republican Party understand that we reject its attempts to co-opt us.

WE WILL WORK AGAINST THEM when they oppose our views by trying to force
Republicans In Name Only (RINO) on us. When Republicans are in accord with their
Conservative Base as well as the Independent voters who align with it, IT WINS; when
they are NOT in accord with the Conservative Base and the Independent voters who align
with it, IT LOSES.

We reject RINO money; we reject RINO “advice”; we reject RINO “professional experience”;
we reject RINO “progressivism”; we reject RINO support of Big Government; we
reject RINO back room deal making; we reject RINO pork spending; we reject false
RINO professions of Conservative views and we reject the RINO’s statist subversion of
the principles of small government for which the Republican Party is supposed to stand.

Republican Party attempts to ignore the will of the Base, as it did in 1976, 1992, 1996,
2006 and 2008, resulted in disaster; when it embraces the will of the Base, as it did in
1980, 1984 and 1994, it wins historic victories.

We demand the Republican Party recognize that while the Tea Party Movement cannot
guarantee their aid will help them win elections, it is very likely WE CAN MAKE THEM
LOSE if they are disdainful of our goals.

IV. We Declare ourselves INDEPENDENT of the Media, which has proved itself to be
anything BUT a fair and balanced enterprise and which focuses more on entertainment,
fear mongering and shock value than investigation and unbiased fact.

We reject the fiction that an unbiased media still exists; there is friendly media and there
is unfriendly ENE-media. The Tea Party Movement refuses to give false credence to the
self-aggrandizing, self-deluding lie that ANY PART of the Fourth Estate is free of the
self-serving agendas of those who own them.

V. We Declare ourselves INDEPENDENT of self-styled “leaders” who claim to speak
for the Tea Party Movement. This movement is not a brand name to be used to sell
product; nor is it a logo to be used to justify profiting off its name.

We reject those who seek to personally capitalize on our popularity and momentum by
trying to associate with our cause.

We reject the idea that the Tea Party Movement is “led” by anyone other than the
millions of average citizens who make it up. The Tea Party Movement understands that
as a Free People, we need to SAVE OURSELVES, BY OURSELVES, FOR
OURSELVES.

The Tea Party Movement is not “led.” The Tea Party Movement LEADS.

VI. We are united in our common belief in Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally
Limited Government and Free Markets. This threefold purpose is the source of our unity
in the Tea Party Movement.

We reject the idea that the Tea Party Movement must all be unanimous in our specific
policy views in order to win. We recognize that the current situation requires we come
together in confederation to achieve the MANY MUTUAL GOALS we all seek to
accomplish.

We recognize that the current situation requires that we concentrate on the many things
we have in common rather than those few things about which we may disagree.

We are the Tea Party Movement of America and we believe in American Exceptionalism.

We believe that American Exceptionalism is found in its devotion to the cause of Liberty.

We believe that Liberty is based in rational self-interest, in freedom of thought, in free
markets, free association, free speech, a free press and the ability granted us under the
Constitution TO DIRECT OUR OWN AFFAIRS FREE OF THE DICTATES OF AN
EVER EXPANDING FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WHICH IS AS VORACIOUS IN
ITS DESIRE FOR POWER AS IT IS INCOMPETENT AND DANGEROUS IN ITS
EXERCISE.

We believe that either fate or history has chosen this Country to be a beacon of freedom
and prosperity to the whole world because of America’s belief in and vigorous defense of
political and economic Liberty. The United States has been the instrument of Liberty
against the many tyrannies that have threatened the people of this world.

The Tea Party Movement rejects the idea that America has to apologize to a far guiltier
world that has been largely unappreciative of the sacrifices made on their behalf by the
brave and noble members of our Armed Forces, whose sacrifice and patriotic service in
our defense makes all else possible.

The Tea Party Movement rejects the imposition of “transformational change” performed
on our Nation by smug elites who call themselves the “educated class”.

The Tea Party Movement understands that our Nation is NOT the same thing as our
government and that America is much more than simply a militarily and economically
powerful State.

The Tea Party Movement sees America as something exceptional, as something unique,
as something that came into existence to fulfill the hope of all previous generations that
longed for freedom.

It came into existence because it is more than simply a country with land and population
and riches and armaments. America came into existence because LIBERTY is an eternal
concept in the mind of both God AND Man.

The United States of America came into existence because Mankind needs freedom the
same way it needs food and air and property and security and love.

And what is freedom other than the RIGHT to be free of the tyranny of Government and
the elitist, self-styled aristocrats who seek to run it at our expense and to our detriment?

The Tea Party Movement will fight this danger to our Liberty as long as its members
have breath in their bodies.

When America didn’t exist men and women were compelled to invent it, BECAUSE
MANKIND CANNOT EXIST WITHOUT FREEDOM AND STILL BE FULLY
HUMAN.

To this goal we mutually pledge to each other, as our Founding Fathers did over two
centuries ago, our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.

Climate Science Exposed: New Report on the CRU Controversy

Posted February 24th, 2010 at 7:00pm in Energy and Environment

“The science behind climate change is settled, and human activity is responsible for global warming. That conclusion is not a partisan one.”Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson.

Forget being partisan or not. That conclusion of settled science isn’t existent. It hasn’t been for a long time, but they are especially bold words in light of the climate scandal involving the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) and the flaws uncovered in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report. Yesterday, the Senate Minority Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW) released a new report that scrutinizes the climate scandal and CRU and its connection with the IPCC and U.S. government policy.

The report delves into the email trail, the IPCC consensus of “unequivocal warming”, the legal and policy issues of Climategate and the EPA’s reliance on the IPCC to make regulatory decisions in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The EPA’s endangerment finding, which took effect January 14, gives the EPA authority under section 202(a) of the Clean Air Act (CAA) to regulate greenhouse gases (GHGs). Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, said:
“So this administration has said, “All right. We couldn’t go it legislatively so we’re going to do it on our own. We’re going to do the damage, inflict the economic damage to this country that would have come under cap and trade the same as if we had been able to pass it.” Now, I think that’s interesting. I would like to say this one thing. The chairman made the statement that the Supreme Court’s mandating this stuff. They’re not mandating a thing. The Supreme Court said you have three choices. You can either, well, either find an endangerment finding or do not find it, or you can say that the science is uncertain.
And I think what we’re going to be asking you to do, during the question and answer time is to find that it’s not certain. You can have an endangerment finding. That can change because you didn’t know at the time that you were basing this on the IPCC flawed science, that the science was flawed. You didn’t believe that, but nonetheless that’s where we are today. We’re going to be making the request, Madam Chairman, that we go back, relook at this and also that — that — and the EPA have their I.G. (Inspector General)looking into this just the same as all the other nations are doing at this time all throughout Europe.”
You can find the full report here. What’s most interesting is that it’s the politicians arguing that the science is settled while the climatologists suggest otherwise. Even Phil Jones, former director of the East Anglia’s CRU admitted, “I don’t believe the vast majority of climate scientists think this. This is not my view. There is still much that needs to be undertaken to reduce uncertainties, not just for the future, but for the instrumental (and especially the palaeoclimatic) past as well.”
The EPA needs to reevaluate the science before it moves forward on a long road of expensive and expansive environmental regulations.

Obama’s Elimination of CIA Detainee Program Puts Americans in Danger

Posted February 24th, 2010 at 4:00pm in Protect America

Between the 9/11 terrorist attack and the inauguration of Barack Obama, the CIA’s detention and interrogation program yielded intelligence that foiled several terrorist attacks, according to author Mark Thiessen. That program, according to Thiessen, uncovered plots for attacks on high-rise apartment buildings; the U.S. Marine Camp in Djibouti, the U.S. Bank Tower in Los Angeles – the tallest building on the West Coast; and London’s Heathrow Airport and downtown buildings.
On the second day of Barack Obama’s presidency, he signed an executive order ending the CIA program. Marc A. Thiessen, author of Courting Disaster: How the CIA Kept America Safe and How Barack Obama is Inviting the Next Attack. explained why this decision compromises American security at a Heritage Foundation event on February 23.
Obama claims that his Executive Order #13491 put an end to “torture,” even though the Bush Administration had already taken waterboarding off the table by 2003. The interrogation techniques Obama eliminated by his Executive Order included “the facial hold, attention grasp, tummy slap, facial slap, a diet of liquid Ensure and mild sleep deprivation (a maximum of four consecutive days).” According to Thiessen, none of these methods constitute torture, or even inflict more suffering than training for a typical high school football team.
Critics say the interrogation techniques cannot yield good intelligence because the detainees will say anything to satisfy the interrogators. This criticism fails to understand the function of the CIA interrogations. Interrogators asked the detainee for information they already knew until he answered truthfully, demonstrating that he was ready to cooperate. Once the detainee begins cooperating, the interrogation ends and the debriefing begins.
Abu Zubaydah, a key al-Qaeda operative captured in Pakistan in March of 2002, was the first of only three terrorist detainees to be waterboarded. Afterward, he actually thanked the CIA for waterboarding him, and encouraged it to waterboard other terrorist detainees. He explained that waterboarding had lifted from his shoulders a moral burden.
Since terrorists believe Allah is ultimately destined to win, they are free to provide information to interrogators once they have made an effort to resist. This means that detainees will cooperate with interrogators once they have been given something to resist. Two-thirds of the 100 or so CIA detainees did not even need enhanced interrogation techniques to convince them they had fulfilled their duty to Allah.
Only three required waterboarding. One was 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who initially refused to talk. After being waterboarded, he lectured interrogators on al-Qaeda operations with a chalkboard full of diagrams. The information that he and other detainees provided saved thousands of lives, and that’s what the CIA’s critics have to deny, Thiessen said.
If they can’t knock down the effectiveness of the program, then they have to admit that the cost of their position would be thousands and thousands of dead people, men, women, and children, if we hadn’t waterboarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. And they won’t admit that, because it makes them monsters, and they want to paint us as the monsters. To argue that we should have sacrificed those lives in order to spare Khalid Sheikh Mohammed the experience of waterboarding, which is not torture, that’s the monstrous argument.
