Why Sarah Palin is Ten Times the Leader Barack Could Ever Hope to Be

Political-Brawl: Sarah Barracuda v. Barack "Joker" Obama

 By Kelly O'Connell  Sunday, October 31, 2010

“Obama against Palin—Are you nuts? Barack would wipe the floor with Sarah in every category without even trying!” Well, that’s what many Americans said when comparing the two in 2008. But oh, my—how the worm has turned! With Barack spending his whole presidency falling in the polls (now at 37%), even his own party can only hope to be elected by pretending they don’t know him.

Barack, WHO?” is the new Democrat political slogan. Opposite is Sarah, evolved into a kingmaker whose mere touch energized many marginal candidates across the nation. Palin waxes while Obama wanes.
“Palin versus Obama” well sums up the values at stake in the Nov. 2nd election. This race boils down to a battle of two philosophies. The first theory accepts that human weakness is trumped by the vicious unpredictability of life. The other theory chooses optimism, saluting the ambition of typical Americans when challenged. One way represents growth and life; the other stands for envy, fear, capitulation, and death.
The following comparison explains why Obama is a permanently failed leader while Palin shows the way towards national revival

I. Economics: Barack Marx v. Supply-Side Sarah

Obama: Obama prefers government ownership of private companies, buying (zombie) banks and failed auto makers; higher taxes; deficit spending; a larger government workforce; and increasing unemployment benefits, etc Barack wants government to take the risk out of capitalism. He badly needs to tax the “rich” at a high rate. In essence, Obama believes government creates the economy, sustains, and fixes it. He brags millions of jobs were saved by his Stimulus. Despite our currently hobbled economy, Obama gathered the largest payroll ever, at 2.15 million federal employees. Is that change we can believe in, or can even afford?
What results from Obamanomics? An unprecedented wave of deficits, unemployment and states battling for survival. This could only be “success” if your goal was to return humans to cave dwelling. Too bad Obama didn’t study the economics of President Reagan, whom he claimed to admire. But what is the upside of all this crazy spending? Obama can’t even explain it himself.

Palin: A longtime free markets advocate, Sarah touts the opposite economics of Obama. She opposes deficit spending, growing government, or increasing taxes. We know this from her policies while Alaska governor. She recently called Barack’s economy “backasswards.”
Obamanomics is a laughingstock. Real unemployment nears 18%. A Harvard economics professor just released a study proving the Stimulus is a dismal failure. Further, a Nobel laureate says the US economy will limp for another decade. With taxes rising, and deficits spiraling, we’re told Obamacare will cost more than it saves, killing almost a million jobs. Compare this to Alaska with no state income tax. They also give residents cash from the “Permanent Fund” yearly.
Advantage: Palin

II. Leadership Instincts: Whining & Blaming v. Cheerful Trench Warfare

Obama: Obama is excoriated for a lackluster, timid, inept and confused style of leading. It resembles community organizer Saul Alinsky more than Lincoln. Even liberals are now slamming him. A classic example was his disappearance during the Gulf Oil Spill. He not only refused to organize efforts, but even blocked the actions of others. Obama further attacked the Gulf Coast economy by shutting down all oil rigs, even defiying a judge’s order. And what does it say of his leadership that his one suggestion is, “More Government Spending” when economics problems linger? The fact analysts are almost forced to conclude Obama is purposefully sabotaging the economy to make sense of his decisions is all anyone needs to know about his “leadership” style.

Palin: Instead of hand-wringing over personal attacks and scurrilous “ethics investigations” Alaska Democrats nonsensically filed against her, Palin punted and regrouped. After writing a book, she returned to politics as a national adviser. Now, has anyone done a better job of grooming candidates or building followers than Palin? And does she harangue her followers, accusing them of not enough loyalty or guts, like Barack? Instead, mimicking Reagan, Sarah tries to educate and encourage her base while grooming individual candidates.
Advantage: Palin

III. US World Relations: Globalist v. America First

Would Palin’s Treasury Secretary say the US needs to shrink in the world economy, or its OK if the dollar is no longer the world currency? Would Palin insult the British by sending back a bust of Churchill, America’s best WWII ally? Would she support the attempted coup by Honduras’ rogue president, or refuse to criticize Iran’s corrupt elections? Would she continually condemn Israel while repeatedly touting Islam’s peacefulness, despite 60 years of attempting to wipe out the Jewish state? Would Palin repeatedly travel to other countries to criticize America, like Obama has? Of course not.

Palin: Sarah would approach our friends with deference, and our enemies with a resolute attitude.
Advantage: Palin

IV. Role of Government: Big Brother Versus Daniel Boone

Obama: It’s pretty obvious that Barack believes government needs to grow. Would Palin have bailed out GM and Chrysler, hired 16,000 new IRS agents, have grown the budget by 32%, and has increase the budget more during his first 19 months than all previous presidents combined? Obama’s deficits will average a trillion dollars a year for the next decade, although the Congressional Budget Office say it is under-reported by a trillion. Obama acts like the purpose for having a budget is to create deficits. But what are we buying with these colossal deficits, which future earners must earn? Would wilderness Sarah grow government by 25%, like Obama during a recession when tax income plummets? The question answers itself.

Palin: Sarah represents that old American value of self-reliance. You know, the virtue liberals hate most of all? People like Palin used to be more common in American, even in government—as all the Founders prove. Through hard work, ingenuity, virtuousness, faith in self and God, and belief in America’s founding principles the USA became the greatest country in history. Palin represents this.
Advantage: Palin

V. Brains: Ivy League Snob v. Classic America Common Sense

Obama: It was roundly proclaimed when Obama was elected he was a “genius,” as if this were a fact as readily ascertained as the temperature at which water freezes. Presidential historian Michael Beschloss said on the Don Imus Show: “his IQ is off the charts” and he is “probably the smartest guy ever to become president.” But after so many stupid errors, poor policy decisions, and an apparent inability to learn from mistakes, very few call Obama a genius, anymore.

It doesn’t help Barack is pathologically incapable of delivering off-the-cuff comments. He drags a teleprompter around like Linus’s blanket—to every event, even setting one up for a grade school address. He even uses one in cabinet meetings. (Barack’s home model even failed!) He once read a foreign leader’s speech without noticing, and actually thanked himself. Even Chris “Thrillupmyleg” Matthews and Walter Mondale criticized Obama using these “idiot boards.” (and does BO even lip-sync?)

An interesting article questions whether Obama is at all an intellectual, stating, “Occam’s razor suggests that Obama is a mere conformist—someone who absorbed every left-wing platitude he encountered in college and never seems to have seriously questioned any of them.”

Palin: Sarah doesn’t have an Ivy League pedigree. Instead, she has common sense. Believing budgets must be balanced and spending should be paired with tax revenues is now rare wisdom. But Palin gets grudging respect from unexpected sources. After all, it’s highly unlikely she’d beat a sitting governor in a primary and a former governor in the general election, as she did in her first run, if not astute.
 Advantage: Palin

VI. Faith: Unknown Commitments v. Unambiguous Belief

Obama: Who knows what Obama really believes? For example, is Obama the Christian he claims, or a closeted Muslim? If the former, why always build up Islam, even using NASA? And why the relentless attacks against the Bible? Would Obama tout a church near Ground Zero, or just mosques? Further, did Obama really not know his pastor of over 20 years is a Marxist with racist theology? If Obama is a secret Marxist, as his economic actions suggest, or a closet Muslim, as his religious enthusiasms indicate—doesn’t that mean his Christianity is a sham? After all, why does Islam in its Arabian homeland allow no churches and execute ministers? Or why did the communists always ask pastors to preach socialism, or die in concentration camps?

Palin: Sarah has never presented herself as anything but Evangelical Christian. This is extremely refreshing. She doesn’t feel the need to continually hide her beliefs about God, Capitalism, and America. Her straightforward faith makes it easier to understand her motivations. Further, her belief in the rights of all people, not just those defended by Political Correctness is a huge plus. Barack is too biased to ever treat all Americans fairly. Sarah believes what America’s first English residents did.
 Advantage: Palin

Ten Horrible Obama Decisions Palin Would Refuse

Stimulus

Palin rejected Stimulus funds for Alaska, and claims Obama should have vetoed the bill, saying “You’re going to have the Chinese and other foreign governments buying up more U.S. Debt.” ‘Nuff said.

Slamming Christianity, Touting Islam, Bowing to Pagan Kings

As a committed Christian, Palin would not absorb anti-American racist sermons, criticize the Bible, or mock the church. And as a patriot, Sarah knows how important Christian faith was to the building of America. For example, the US Constitution is a form of biblical covenant, and Federal theory of government was taken from ancient Israel. Further, the first Americans came here for religious freedom for Christianity. But can anyone imagine Palin going out of her way to defend and advocate for Islam? When Obama bows to foreign leaders, especially Muslims, what does he think he’s achieving? It just doesn’t seem like Palin would do something so strange and unbecoming of a US leader.

Cutting Charitable Giving Tax Write-Offs

In light of current economic struggles hitting hardest the poorest Americans, it’s sad Obama removed much tax advantage of giving to charity almost as soon as he entered office. It’s inconceivable Palin would do the same, which reduced charitable giving, forcing the poor to look increasingly at government for aid.

Publicly Announcing Afghan Withdrawal

Perhaps Obama wanted to make sure his supporters knew he was leaving Afghanistan ASAP, but announcing the date could only embolden our enemies. No way does Palin do something so transparently dangerous as this.

Nationalizing Healthcare

An opponent of big government, and fan of the democratic process, it’s inconceivable Palin would force passage of this gigantic bill, especially as Obama had to deceive and manipulate to do so. But think of how much happier those 60% who want it repealed would be if he had not done so. Further, imagine of how many more would consider him a good leader had he not. Worse, healthcare will degenerate under this bill.

Cap & Trade

Palin considers Global Warming a hoax. Increasingly, science agrees. Cap and Tax is meant to alleviate carbon, but Palin opposes this. Economists describe how it will destroy our economy’s vitality. But as a socialist, Obama doesn’t care if its true. He just wants to reallocate US resources to other countries.

Killing DC School Vouchers

Since vouchers help DC minorities get a better education, as a caring person, Palin would not cancel these just to placate a union, as Obama did.

Not Helping His Brother in Kenya Slum

A disturbing story was when Obama visited Kenya and met his destitute brother, living off a dollar a month. Barack gave him nothing. Does family generosity seem like something Palin would avoid, if she had been a multimillionaire senator? And was Barack being honest when he said, “I am my brother’s keeper”? Apparently not.

Abortion

One of the first executive decisions Obama made was to cancel Bush’s abortion restrictions. The single issue Barack has the strongest record of advocating for is abortion, even of full-term babies, ie “partial birth abortion.” Palin is opposed to abortions and even had a child she knew was mentally handicapped.

Bonus: Refusing to Show Birth Certificate

Who knows where Obama was born? But it’s unimaginable Palin—if her birth was questioned—would refuse to show her birth certificate. She would know that such issues, even if meritless, could only take away her reputation of legitimacy.

Conclusion: Palin Dwarfs Obama in Leadership Skills

As proved, Palin utterly buries Obama in every important leadership category. Barack prefers to lecture, moralize, and judge Americans, deciding who is acceptable, instead of leading all Americans to greater prosperity and saftety. This is exactly what he recently did encouraging Latinos to “punish your enemies.”

Now, ask yourself—If you had money to invest, would you trust Obama or Palin first? If you needed help or a favor, would it be Palin or Obama you called? And if you were curious about the love of God, would you ask Sarah or Barack?

Palin, like Reagan, tries to persuade Americans which way to go, through logic, humor and charm. But Obama wants to force Americans to do the “right thing” without ever bothering to explain why. In this, he’s a classic tyrant. This is why Ben Quayle claims Barack Obama is the worst president in history. The emperor has no clothes; he lacks any leadership skills. More disturbing, Obama doesn’t care for what most Americans would call virtue, fairness, justice, or even love for the average American. For these reasons, and more—Sarah Palin dwarfs Barack Obama in leadership skills.

Sarah Palin: 'Those are corrupt bastards, Chris'

On 'Fox News Sunday', Sarah Palin gives the lowdown on Alaska's corrupt media:

Karl Rove versus the Tea Party … the next big fight

by Hugh Holub on Oct. 31, 2010, under politics

For those who love to watch a good dog fight, starting Wednesday we’re going to be treated to one heck of a conflict….that is if a bunch of the Tea Party favorites win US House and Senate seats.

On one hand we have a rebellion brewing among the right wing who are tired of business as usual in Washington from both establishment Democrats and establishment Republicans.

On the other hand we have the establishment Republicans just waiting to co-opt the Tea Partiers.

Expecting to lead their rebellion against federal spending, Tea Partiers will run smack dab into the Washington system that will dilute and derail their agenda. That hsould only exacerbate their anger and keep the political fight going for the next 2 years.

And you thought everything would quiet down after the election….fat chance.

Here are some interesting commentaries about the looming fight between the establishment within the GOP and the Tea Party:
The Grand Old Plot Against the Tea Party
By FRANK RICH
….Karl Rove outed the Republican elites’ contempt for Tea Partiers in the campaign’s final stretch. Much as Barack Obama thought he was safe soliloquizing about angry white Middle Americans clinging to “guns or religion” at a San Francisco fund-raiser in 2008, so Rove now parades his disdain for the same constituency when speaking to the European press. This month he told Der Spiegel that Tea Partiers are “not sophisticated,” and then scoffed, “It’s not like these people have read the economist Friedrich August von Hayek.” ….
Here’s an article about Tea Party favorite Jim Demint:
Tea Party Kingmaker Becomes Power Unto Himself
…He would lack the votes to win as Senate leader; even if all the Tea Party candidates win, their caucus will be small. And many of his colleagues blame him for backing less viable Tea Party candidates who may cost the Republicans a Senate majority, making it unlikely they would give him any leadership position. ….

Here is a good article about what is driving Tea Party leaders…
D.I.Y. Populism, Left and Right
And perhaps because it’s so rooted in spontaneity and anger, the modern mini-movement, while inspiring in its capacity to engage Americans in the issues of the day, may also lack the intellectual staying power of the last century’s uprisings. The original progressives gave us women’s suffrage and consumer protections; the civil rights movement desegregated our schools and restaurants; the conservatives introduced still controversial but enduring ideas like school choice and supply-side economics.

Of course it isn’t just the Republican establishment that has an elitist attitude to the grassroots rebellion going on in the country…
Elitism: The Charge That Obama Can’t Shake
….WASHINGTON — In the Boston-area home of a wealthy hospital executive one Saturday evening this month, President Obama departed from his usual campaign stump speech and offered an explanation as to why Democrats were seemingly doing so poorly this election season. Harry Reid: Where are the jobs?

As you watch this, you’ll almost hear purple heads popping…

Originally posted on the Washington Times, writer Kerry Picket states:
Members of this group represent those from traditional Democratic coalitions and base demographics, like: African-Americans, Latinos, and union members.
In the ad, these individuals urge Democratic Nevada voters to break away from their practice of supporting liberals like Harry Reid.
In fact, the ad goes one step further and looks to draw in union members who are disgruntled with union leadership’s pro-amnesty policies.
Here are a few remarks that were planned to be part of the ad:
“Union Leaders are betraying their members by endorsing Reid and Extreme Liberal Policies”
“Unions are recruiting illegals and paying them 1/3 the union wage for union jobs”
“These practices exploit illegals, while simultaneously denying Americans jobs”
“Progressives like to exploit racial division for political advantage”
“I even a got a contract that’s a local 844 agreement where our general president and all these people deliberately kept the Hispanics out of this meeting, because what they wanted to do was to negotiate contractors for $11.96 an hour versus $37, and they did,” said Darrin Oglesbee (shown in the ad), of Iron Workers Local 416 in Las Vegas, during an interview with me on Monday.
“Here’s the kicker, their union dues, are the same as mine. The international is going to get their money, but [say] ‘sorry we short-changed you on your money there, buddy,’“ he said.
The union member presence in the ad is a potent weapon given membership is currently struggling with its leaders over policy from card check legislation to immigration reform. Union bosses are likely feeling uneasy about membership anger over job losses and union leadership demands.
With Tuesday a mere two days away, this ad certainly won’t be helping Harry.

The Final Nail in the Democrats' Coffin

  Larry KudlowLarry Kudlow

On the eve of the midterm elections, a third-quarter GDP report showing a meager 2 percent growth rate is the final nail in the Obama Democrats’ political coffin.

The economic nails slowly have been hammered into that coffin all summer and fall. A spate of subpar economic statistics has shown the failure of the fiscal-stimulus spending program. And myriad tax and regulatory threats produced by new government policies have created a massive uncertainty overhang and a dismal jobs outlook. American businesses have gone on an investment-capital and hiring strike.

For a White House that bet the ranch on a massive government pump-priming plan, it has all turned out to be a complete failure. The scheduled economic recovery has simply not occurred.
And that’s why a Republican Tea Party tsunami lies just over the horizon. That tidal wave could be even greater than current polling suggests.

It should have been recovery summer, according to the president and his followers. But it is now officially a recovery slump. The entire command-and-control economic philosophy of the Obama Democrats has proven to be a big bust. And they’ll pay a very big price for this.

In fact, the last two GDP reports have averaged less than 2 percent growth, something that qualifies as a growth recession, not a recovery.

Even worse, the GDP deflator -- the broadest inflation measure -- came in at 2.2 percent in the third quarter, following a 2 percent reading in the second quarter. That means inflation is rising faster than real output. Stagflation.

The Bernanke Fed should take notice of this on the eve of its quantitative-easing pump-priming exercise, expected to be announced the day after the election. We are actually experiencing a mini version of stagflationary growth recession.

The spending, taxing, and regulating policies of the Democratic Congress and administration have blocked growth, putting the Fed in a position to provide even more money to chase fewer goods. But in classic Milton Friedman terms, even though the economy is mired in stagnation, that’s still an inflationary prescription.

On top of all that, the depreciating-dollar policies of the Fed have led to a boom in commodity prices, including food and energy -- things ordinary Americans pay for in the course of their typical week.

When the economy came in at 5 percent in the last quarter of 2009, and at 3.7 percent in early 2001, it looked like a recovery scenario. This, of course, followed the Fed’s massive $2 trillion stimulus plan and the more than $1 trillion fiscal stimulus. But those sugar highs quickly evaporated as growth slowed to 1.7 percent in the spring and 2 percent in the summer.

Meanwhile, a stubbornly high unemployment rate of 9.6 percent was supposed to have dropped to 8 percent last year and 7 percent by the end of this year, according to the president’s Council of Economic Advisers.

But it didn’t. The so-called stimulus failed to stimulate.

Actually, unemployment is much worse for regular workaday folks. Counting marginal part-time workers and discouraged workers, unemployment is 17.3 percent. And this year, while the president promised 1.5 million new jobs, nonfarm payrolls have grown by only 613,000, and actually have fallen over the past four months.

The trouble with the whole Obama mindset is the notion that government can run the economy. That idea has failed. It is business that runs the economy, including entrepreneurs and risk-takers. Yet the animal spirits have been stifled, while the producers have been laughed at, mocked, and insulted.

The Obama class-warfare campaign against business and investment has created a wall of worry and a refusal to invest in the future. The incentive model of growth, where it must pay more after tax and regulatory costs to work, produce, and invest, has been discarded by Obama’s extreme left-liberal Keynesianism. Predictably, higher costs -- including the cost of Obamacare, probably the single-greatest barrier to growth and jobs -- have forced the most productive factors in the economy to hole up and virtually shut down.

But the whole Tea Party movement of free-market populism represents an attempt to re-oxygenate the economy by unclogging the blood vessels of entrepreneurship with a major rollback of spending, taxing, and regulating. This Tea Party philosophy is derided daily by the Democrats, but it represents a bull’s-eye in terms of creating future economic growth.

Fortunately, the Republican party has returned to this Reaganesque message. This is the single most-important theme in the GOP comeback.

Even Democrats see Obama as a failure and a fake

 October 31, 2010
Monty Pelerin

An interview with a Democratic Washington insider described as "a longtime Washington D.C. insider, and former advisor to the Obama election campaign and transition team ..." describes the "administration in crisis, and a president increasingly withdrawn from the job of President."

Whomever the Democrat insider might be, his comments are consistent with what many of us sense. He does not believe another four years would be in the best interests of America, or perhaps more accurately, the Democratic Party. When confronted, here is the question and his answer:

Q: But would another four years of an Obama presidency be the best thing for America?

A: (Long pause)  Now that is a much more interesting question right there, and a question I think more and more Democratic Party insiders are asking themselves these days, myself included.  I am going to come right out and say it - No.  Obama is not up to the job of being president.  He simply doesn't seem to care about the work involved.  You want to know what?  Obama is lazy.  He really is. And it is getting worse and worse.  Would another four years of Obama be the best thing for America? No it would not.

What this country needs is a president who is focused on the job more than on themselves.  Obama is not that individual.  I actually hope he doesn't run again.  Looking back, as much fun as the campaign in 2008 was, Hillary Clinton should have been the nominee.  Hillary was ready to be president.  Obama was not ready.  He had never lost a campaign.  Everything was handed to him.  He doesn't really understand the idea of work - real, hard, get your heart and soul into it work.  And frankly, that is very disappointing to a whole lot of us...
Even from a Democratic perspective, Obama is seen as an immature man-child. Despite the swooning press, he is not considered overly bright by those that know him. Read more here.

They're little more than parasites. They live off the host -- productive citizens. Few pols have principles beyond staying in office, regardless of the cost.  For Democrats, Obama was a meal-ticket. His philosophy of government may have been extreme for some, but he was useful. He was "The One" that could lead the party back to their rightful leadership, control of the country and glory.

This charismatic charlatan charmed the country as well as his Party. The political parasites glommed onto him like flies on horse manure. He was their savior. The One would return the party to greatness.

Buoyed by early success, Democratic politicians jumped aboard what they believed to be a program sold by a phenomenal politician who possessed magical powers.   This winner could sell anything to the rubes in the body politic. Unfortunately Obama's vision, buttressed by extremists in the party like Pelosi and Reid, was pushed too far. It was too radical for the American people.

Like hypnotized lemmings, the party members followed this Pied Piper. Their arrival at the cliff and mass demise is estimated to occur on November 2.

The next two years will be hard on Obama. As much as he is hated by freedom-lovers in the country, it is likely that he will be hated more by his remaining Democrats. This Pied Piper, instead of getting the American people to follow, led Democratic politicians to their political death. The survivors will not forget, nor will they continue to march to the tune of this false savior.

We are about to witness politics at its ugliest. It will be Republicans against Democrats of course. But that will be less intriguing than the Democrats against Obama. Political survival trumps loyalty. If  Obama is as ineffectual as I believe he will be, he will be devoured by angry Democrats anxious to avenge the political deaths of their comrades.

What Democrats, besides Hillary, will challenge him in 2012? Will he even stand for re-election?

For political junkies the fun is about to begin.

Why Doesn't Everyone Know Jan Schakowsky's Husband Wrote ObamaCare in Jail?

October 31, 2010
By Stella Paul

I know who's got my vote for the cutest couple since Bonnie and Clyde. It's the larcenous lovebirds from Chicago: Jan Schakowsky, the most far-left member of Congress, and her bank robber husband, Robert Creamer, who wrote Obamacare in jail.

What a romance! She waited as he served time for sixteen counts of bank fraud, selflessly devoting herself to trying to impeach Dick Cheney and to showering federal funds on her biggest, most ethically challenged contributors.

And he persevered inside the graybar hotel, aflame with the inspiration that became Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win, a 628-page manual for how "to reshape the structure of one-sixth of the American economy" -- namely, health care.

Endorsed by David Axelrod and SEIU honcho Andrew Stern, Stand Up Straight! gave Democrats the perfect voodoo recipe of lies, lies, and boiled frog's eyes they used to cook up ObamaCare.

Here's how David Horowitz's Discover The Network describes it:

Creamer's book advocated a "public plan" that would guarantee every U.S. resident's "right" to health care; this plan eventually would serve as a model for the "public option" in subsequent legislative proposals by Congressional Democrats.

In addition, Creamer laid out a "Progressive Agenda for Structural Change," which included a
ten-point plan to set the stage for implementing universal health care:

  • "We must create a national consensus that health care is a right, not a commodity; and that government must guarantee that right."
  • "We must create a national consensus that the health care system is in crisis."
  • "Our messaging program over the next two years should focus heavily on reducing the credibility of the health insurance industry and focusing on the failure of private health insurance."
  • "We need to systematically forge relationships with large sectors of the business/employer community."
  • "We need to convince political leaders that they owe their elections, at least in part, to the groundswell of support of [sic] universal health care, and that they face political peril if they fail to deliver on universal health care in 2009."
  • "We need not agree in advance on the components of a plan, but we must foster a process that can ultimately yield consensus."
  • "Over the next two years, we must design and organize a massive national field program."
  • "We must focus especially on the mobilization of the labor movement and the faith community."
  • "We must systematically leverage the connections and resources of a massive array of institutions and organizations of all types."
  • "To be successful, we must put in place commitments for hundreds of millions of dollars to be used to finance paid communications and mobilization once the battle is joined."

"To win," added Creamer, "we must not just generate understanding, but emotion-fear, revulsion, anger, disgust."

Now don't you find this tale of the Obamacare-writing bank robber and his congresswoman moll pretty darn interesting? Even, shall we say, newsworthy?

After all, nothing more intimately affects our lives than the Obamination currently shutting down Catholic hospitals, sending premiums skyrocketing, and limiting patients' access and options.

And if you really want nightmares, check out Congressman Kevin Brady's organization chart that displays ObamaCare's new government agencies, regulations, and mandates.

In addition to showing the massive expansion of government and the overwhelming complexity of new regulations and taxes, the chart portrays:

  • $569 billion in higher taxes;
  • $529 billion in cuts to Medicare;
  • Swelling of the ranks of Medicaid by 16 million;
  • Seventeen major insurance mandates; and
  • The creation of two new bureaucracies with powers to impose future rationing: the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute and the Independent Payments Advisory Board.

Hey, thanks for nothing, Robert and Jan!

Yet somehow the great media machine has not seen fit to tell voters about the rancid Romeo and Juliet who gave us this unholy mess.

Instead, they've inundated us with:

- Christine O'Donnell dabbling with witchcraft in high school

- Meg Whitman's housekeeper's immigration status

- Linda McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment treatment of women

Somehow, I don't think when a family member's life hangs in the balance, my first thought will be with female wrestlers.

Well, even if the media did miraculously decide to ask Schakowsky some hard questions, she'd be tough to find. She's awfully busy, calling Tea Partiers "despicable," storming into polling places to illegally electioneer, and sending out her dearest friend to scream at Andrew Breitbart that he's gay.

Fortunately, Chicago voters in the 9th district have an outstanding candidate to vote for in Joel Pollak, magna cum laude Harvard graduate, who published two acclaimed books while attending Harvard Law School. Pollak has been endorsed by Alan Dershowitz, his former professor and a lifelong Democrat.

You can contribute to Joel Pollak here.

Wouldn't it be a thrill to annoy the Silent Media and retire the Bonnie and Clyde who held up the nation?

Anchorage CBS Affiliate Caught on Voicemail Conspiring Against Alaska’s GOP Senate Candidate

Posted by P.J. Salvatore Oct 30th 2010 at 10:25 pm in CBS, Featured Story, Politics
The following voice mail message was inadvertently left on the cell phone of Joe Miller campaign spokesperson Randy DeSoto.

The voices are believed to be those of the news director for CBS Anchorage affiliate KTVA, along with assignment editor Nick McDermott, and other reporters, openly discussing creating, if not fabricating, two stories about Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Joe Miller.

The following is a transcript of a call recorded after CBS Alaska affiliate KTVA called Joe Miller’s Senate campaign spokesperson. The call failed to disconnect properly. It was later authenticated by McDermott, who sent a text to Randy DeSoto stating, “Damn iPhone… I left you a long message. I thought I hung up. Sorry.”

Clearly the reporters were conspiring to set up some type of smear of Joe Miller. With glee, they even cite a recent controversy over an incident involving the Rand Paul campaign, while discussing how they would spread the story via social media after whatever incident they had in mind came off. It also brings to mind another recent episode that ended with Jerry Brown’s California gubernatorial campaign being caught up in controversy when someone from Brown’s camp called Brown’s opponent, Republican Meg Whitman, a “whore.”

This calls into serious question what type of campaign coverage CBS’ KTVA has been providing Alaskans all along, given their reporters’ willingness to conspire against Miller.

Moderate Islam?

October 30, 2010
Jerry Philipson

Every time anything even marginally critical of Muslims or Islam appears in the media apologists, Muslim or otherwise, respond by saying 'moderate voices must be heard' or 'misconceptions about Islam are widespread' or 'Islam is really a religion of peace and tolerance' or other such platitudes.
These pronouncements are dead wrong. What we must look at is how and why Islam manifests itself the way it does and what we must listen to are the cries of its victims, those that are still alive that is. If we did we would realize that Islam is not a religion of peace and tolerance and that Muslims constantly commit heinous acts in its name everywhere on earth, the United States and Canada included. We would realize that it is in fact not merely religion, it is a completely proscribed way of life which requires true believers to act in ways that are fundamentally at odds with free, democratic, secular, Judeo-Christian, Western societies like ours. We would realize that Islam is expansionist and demands that non believers  submit to its imperatives, with horrific consequences if they don't. We would realize that the Koran is full of hatred and intolerance and misogyny, that Islam really hasn't changed since its inception, that its very nature makes change virtually impossible and that the term 'moderate Islam' is complete hogwash.

Let there be no mistake. The vast majority of Muslims in the West are every bit as peaceful and tolerant in their daily lives as you or I, but they are not true believers or practitioners even if they think they are. They couldn't be because if they were every single one of them would be out to conquer us and bring us under Islam's sway. Moderate, peaceful, tolerant, integrated Muslims-absolutely. They are all around us. Moderate, peaceful, tolerant, integrated Islam -- no such thing. Every day all over the world people are murdered, maimed, raped, attacked, vilified and humiliated under its aegis and according to its precepts and dictates. We have had 1400 years of this behavior and the evidence is overwhelming and beyond dispute...moderate Islam simply does not exist and never has.

Unfortunately, it's very difficult for ordinary citizens to gain an accurate picture of Islam because the mainstream media is unwilling or unable to show its true colors, out of ignorance, political correctness, fear of retaliation or any number of other such reasons. The media would do us all a huge favor if it did however. Islam is a direct and serious threat to Western civilization in general and must be seen for what it is if we are to keep it from destroying our way of life and forcing us all to live as it requires us to. Including moderate Muslims.

With horrific consequences if we don't.

Meek goes under the bus; whither black America?

October 30, 2010
Russ Vaughn

It took American blacks decades of effort and stalwarts like Rosa Parks to get them out of the back of the bus that Southern Democrats had so long and desperately tried to keep them in. In an Alice in Wonderland reversal of reality, American blacks have forever after given their total allegiance to that same Democratic party that so long held them in thrall.

Update to Election 2010 and here we have Mr. Democrat, himself, the silver-haired spinmeister, William Jefferson Clinton, going down South to throw a black congressman, Kendrick Meek, who is a candidate for US senator in Florida, right under the wheels of that infamous Obama/Democratic bus.

Yeah, you got it; Clinton, as party patriarch, tried to talk a talented young black congressman into dropping out of the race so an amoral, unprincipled, opportunist like Florida governor, Charlie Crist will have a fighting chance against Republican wunderkind, Marco Rubio.

Why would that be you may ask?

Well how about the idea that the Democratic Party is scared witless that a bright, handsome, young, articulate, super-achiever from a working class background, who just happens to be Hispanic and conservative, is scaring the hell out of them on the national level. The chance that a charismatic Rubio could ignite that vein of inherent conservatism that runs deeply through most Hispanic voters, just scares the living hell out of Democrats who have so long been confident that they could keep the Hispanic voting bloc subservient and satisfied with minimum wages with Democrats continually fueling the fires of class envy and racial warfare.

So, what do we see here? How about Democratic cynicism in full bloom, applied in its most brutal and direct form wherein a talented young black politician's presence in the senatorial race could permit a more talented Hispanic to win that race? Not a problem; call in Bill Clinton, the waking, working, walking version of that black deity, Jack Kennedy, to smoothly ease that young black man out of the way so a duplicitous, opportunistic slick operator like Charlie Crist, who just happens to have spent his entire political career as a Republican, can go to Washington and sell his vote to the party which bids the highest.

Black Americans, you should be insulted beyond belief. You should also wake up and realize you are only friends of the Democratic party to the extent you are useful to them.

Wake up; please wake up...

People are gonna lose their jobs over this…

The postman delivering the mail this afternoon is long gone. Good thing. At least he didn’t hear the expletives that were thrown out to anyone within earshot as the envelope from Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield was opened and the 2011 rate increase was read.

It appears that, rather than making health care affordable as was promised, ObamaCare is taking our health insurance costs even higher—about $300 per month (or $3600 per year) higher. [Not that anyone with an IQ above an average AFSCME or SEIU member couldn't have figured it out anyway.]

Now, the “right” (read: soon-to-be mandate) of having health care insurance will only cost this family of five $17,705 per year. And, for what?…A couple of doctor visits per kid per year? The occasional prescription of antibiotics? The privilege of having a ‘just-in-case’ policy?

This is something you can take to the bank: People will lose their jobs over this…

As more and more companies, small business owners and workers begin to feel the pinch of ObamaCare’s health care cost increases, there will be less money to spend on economic activity.

Perhaps it will be a few thousand more UAW members who lose their jobs because there will be less people who can afford the monthly car payments due to ObamaCare.

Perhaps it will be a few thousand SEIU janitors who lose their jobs because there are less offices to clean as more companies eliminate office space to help defray the costs of ObamaCare.

Perhaps it will be the SEIU health care worker whose hospital or nursing home is forced to close due to cost rationing.

Perhaps a few thousand more Teamsters will lose their jobs because their companies experience the drop in business from less freight being moved.

Perhaps it will be a few thousand more UFCW grocery workers will lose their jobs because customers shift over to larger big-box (and non-union) stores in order to save money.

Perhaps it will be the union workers in union resort towns like Orlando or Las Vegas who see more jobs lost because fewer Americans will be able to afford vacations.

Perhaps it will be the unionized airline workers who see fewer air travelers taking the vacations, or less businesses holding conventions in faraway cities.

The ramifications of ObamaCare are only now beginning. As more and more see their costs increase, others will feel the effects ripple across the economy—people will lose their jobs over ObamaCare.

They say, over and over again, that elections have consequences.
While most people who will be losing their jobs don’t deserve it, a few do…

Hopefully, on Tuesday, the American people will see to it that those most responsible (219 in the House and 60 in the Senate) will be held accountable.

Lisa, are you going to shut down my Facebook page for writing this?

by Sarah Palin on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 9:20pm

Yesterday, Lisa Murkowski’s hired guns threatened radio host Dan Fagan, and more importantly, the station that airs Fagan’s show, with legal action for allegedly illegal “electioneering.” The station, unlike Murkowski, who is flush with millions of dollars from vested corporate interests, does not have a budget for a legal defense. So it did what any small market station would do when threatened by Beltway lawyers charging $500 to $1000 an hour – they pulled Dan Fagan off the air.

Does all this sound heavy handed? It is. It is an interference with Dan Fagan’s constitutional right to free speech. It is also a shocking indictment against Lisa Murkowski. How low will she go to hold onto power? First, she gets the Division of Elections to change its write-in process – a process that Judge Pfiffner correctly determined had been in place without change for 50 years. She is accepting financial support from federal contractors, an act that is highly questionable and now pending before the FEC. And today, she played her last card. She made it clear that if you disagree with her and encourage others to exercise their civic rights, she’ll take you off the air.

The concept of “electioneering” involves several issues, but typically refers to campaigning at the polls, which is appropriately banned. Under federal law, it can also mean paying for advertising on broadcast media during a federal election cycle, and it requires disclosures if done by groups and corporations. Fagan used satire to mock Murkowski’s write-in efforts and encouraged Alaskans to run as write-in candidates. That is not illegal. That is free speech.

Individuals like Dan Fagan have a fundamental right to speak their minds without threats from the incumbent Senator from Alaska. It is hard to find a constitutional right Americans cherish more than the right to free speech. This was a right Joe Miller, as a decorated combat veteran – a tank commander tested in battle, was willing to die to defend. Dan Fagan has not always agreed with me, but I will gladly defend his right to speak freely on his radio show, which he has often used to criticize me. In fact, Fagan has actually used his radio show to attack and insult me, my husband, my children, and my family in just about every way possible. He was especially insulting to my son, who left for a war zone to defend Fagan’s right to attack our family. But when I was his governor, I never would have dreamed of threatening his right to free speech. I support him in this fight because this D.C. Beltway thuggery, as exemplified by Lisa Murkowski’s latest threat, is ruining our country. The powers that be want ordinary Americans to sit down and shut up and let the ruling class ride us right off the debt cliff we’re heading towards with Obama, Pelosi, and Reid steering the nation’s car. We can’t let them. Now is the time to put aside our past differences and stand up to the establishment powers.

This whole episode confirms again why we need to elect Joe Miller. Lisa, you can sue me if you want (you won’t be the first). But I will not be intimidated from speaking my mind. Your intimidation just empowered us liberty-loving Alaskans. Are you really that out of touch?

‘Barack Obama’s Poor Economic Policies Are Playing into China’s Hands’

Peter SchweizerPosted by Peter Schweizer Oct 26th 2010 at 8:48 am in China, Economy, Obama, Politics

It used to be that America’s economic performance garnered us credibility with the rest of the world.  But now the world is increasingly looking to China and other countries as a model for prosperity.  The reason?  America’s creative business leaders are fighting a global war in shackles.   There’s a fascinating piece in today’s Telegraph (UK) that needs to be read by everyone before Tuesday’s mid-term elections. It’s aptly titled “Barack Obama’s Poor Economic Policies are Playing into China’s Hands.” An excerpt:

prc-china-flag

“Exasperated business leaders here in the US simply believe Washington is handing a competitive advantage to rival Far East exporters whose goods are deemed fit to be consumed in the American economy but not produced by the American economy. And because it risks being condemned as xenophobic, companies are unwilling to make a fuss about the fact that an increasing amount of the West’s intellectual property is being stolen with impunity. Again, Americans feel their government is not doing anything to redress this unfairness.
But whether it’s planning restrictions, land use restrictions, tax burdens or rules and regulations, there is a governance gap in the US, as in other Western economies, which is holding back growth. The poor leadership and economic policies of the Obama administration are forcing the domestic economy to compete with one hand tied behind its back. Not a great way of encouraging those mountains of cash to be invested in job creation.
That governance gap is being arbitraged by the likes of China, and its emerging market counterparts, which simply get on with growth under orchestrated and highly directed economic and industrial policies.
Instead of the West’s democratic advantage being allowed to show its creative strengths, it is throwing up obstacles to re-establishing the economic credentials of countries such as America. That mismanagement is what the increasingly vocal protests here, including the Tea Party movement, are getting so cross about.”

Media Canonizes Paid Soros Activist Who Started Violence at Rand Paul Debate

Dana LoeschPosted by Dana Loesch Oct 26th 2010 at 1:02 pm in Featured Story, Media Matters, Politics, Tea Parties

UPDATE: RS McCain notes how the man who tussled with Valle has since apologized and Paul booted him from the campaign. Compare that with Russ Carnahan who defended SEIU the following day and rallied with the attackers a week or so later.
***

While reporting on the scuffle that broke out at the Rand Paul/Jack Conway debate, the mainstream media is keen to not identify that paid Soros activist and repeat trouble-maker Lauren Valle had the explicit intention of going to the debate to pull a stunt and start trouble, which caused the fracas in the first place.

My particular rule of thumb is to allow disruptors to let their flags fly. If they want to stage a stunt, who cares? They seek out attention and denying them that attention is a bigger blow to the ego than what took place at the debate, which was unnecessary.

I’m going to take bets that Valle gets “justice” for attempting to incite a riot and make the news at the Rand Paul/Jack Conway debate before SEIU victims Kenneth Gladney and Kelly Owens. (Or the man who had his fingers chewed off by a leftist.)

Owens is the lesser-known victim of the SEIU who was punched out on camera, which broke her camera and bruised her face–all this was witnessed by cops, according to the police report. No one rushing to defend Valle came to Owens’ defense, even after Owens discussed intimidation aimed at discouraging her from pressing charges.

I’ve seen the tape of Valle vs. the Paul supporters. She was described as having “lunged” and “stalked” Paul, which, considering the history of leftist violence and threats (I know from experience: I’m preparing to go to court over threats made against my children, not to mention the death threat I received this week), made the debate attendees nervous.

If she didn’t want to be restrained she shouldn’t have gone with the intent to start trouble, but congressional members also need to provide their own security. Sure, the man shouldn’t have placed his foot on her head.

Me writing that just now is more than Soros employees Eric Boehlert and his Soros crew over at Media Matters will ever say on Kenneth Gladney and Kelly Owens, two victims of actual violence. They’re too busy defending the people who beat them, mocking and slurring the victims. Boehlert is terrified to touch the subject of Kelly Owens’ beating because he’s more concerned with making sure he remains popular amongst an organization that would condone the beating of women and minorities.

Here’s the thing – this Lauren Valle has already received more attention for her intention of starting trouble. I’ve never, ever seen a written or heard a spoken account from a single liberal condemning the attack on Kelly Owens. EVER. I have, however, watched liberals fall over themselves defending the people who beat her. So, forgive me if I vomit due to the pretense of devoted justice these same liberals now display.

I’m waiting for all the people who mocked and slurred Gladney and Owens to apologize and condemn their beatings. When the left can do that, then we can enter into a realm of legitimate, bi-partisan discussion. Until then, the left and government media can spare me the pretense.

SEIU Controls ‘Glitchy’ Voter Machines in Clark County, NV

by Publius

UPDATE: Americans for Limited Government have jumped on this issue and are pushing the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Nevada State Attorney General to get to the bottom of it, and now:
It is positively outrageous that in Clark County, Nevada, the SEIU Local 1107, which supports Harry Reid, controls the ballot boxes by contract through their representation of the voting machine technicians.  It is not surprising that Senator Harry Reid’s name was automatically checked off on the ballot when individuals went to vote.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Nevada State Attorney General, and the U.S Marshalls need to act now to ensure that the SEIU does not continue to compromise the integrity of ballots in Nevada, and anywhere else in the country.  The democratic process is too precious to be tampered with and abused.

From NetRightDaily.com:

reid_harry_prays

Did you know that the SEIU represents the voting machine technicians in Clark County (Las Vegas), Nevada? Is it any surprise, as we noted earlier today, that there was a voting glitch in Clark County, Nevada?

The glitch caused Harry Reid’s name to be automatically checked on the ballot before voters had indicated who were they were supporting.

According to Joyce Ferrara who was an eyewitness to this strange ballot ordeal, the problem was widespread, “One person that’s a fluke. Two, that’s strange. But several within a five minute period of time — that’s wrong.”

It is particularly troubling that Clark County has put the uber left-wing SEIU Local 1107 in charge of their voting machines.

The agreement between the SEIU and Clark County specifically puts all voting machines under the control of the SEIU. See the collective bargaining agreement:

The County hereby recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive collective bargaining representative of the County employees assigned to the classifications listed in Appendix A who are eligible to be represented by the Union except as limited by Section 2 of this Article. The Union shall be notified of additions to the list
of classifications (Appendix A), within seven (7) days of posting for the position classification and shall receive 30 days advance notice of any deletions. Upon written request by the Union, the parties shall meet and confer regarding deletions within the 30 day notification period referenced herein. Both parties recognize that the Union retains its right to appeal under the provisions of NRS 288.170.
On page 75 of the agreement, in Appendix A, Voting Machine Technician is listed as a classified position that the SEIU represents.

‘Go Watch This Video. It’s Enlightening, It’s Enraging.’: Gov Christie Raves Over O’Keefe ‘Teachers Gone Wild’

Well, the left and the mainstream media came to bury James O’Keefe. And I guess they failed. His latest Project Veritas ‘Teachers Gone Wild’ — New Jersey teachers union members exposing their institutional arrogance and lack of seriousness and accountability — is now a huge story in New Jersey politics, according to straight-talking Governor Chris Christie’s own mouth.

Gov. Chris Christie comments on 'teachers unions gone wild'

This is what I’ve been talking about.  This is another exhibit as to what I’ve been talking about.  The arrogance, the greed, the self-interest, the lack of introspection, the lack of standards.
And it hurts the great teachers just as much as it hurts the kids.
I think that this video makes the distinction better than I ever could.  This is their leadership conference where they’re in a hotel, having this leadership conference, singing songs together about kicking the governor in his tool box.  I wonder what they mean by that?  But I can tell you I sense it would hurt.

They talk about the things.. I’m not even going to say it because we have children in this audience but the things that they would have to do in order to lose tenure. And how exciting the moment is after three years when they get tenure and realize ‘we can’t get fired for anything’.
This is the stuff they are saying on the video when they don’t believe they are being videotaped.
They have a teacher, leadership of the union, playing arcade games at this leadership conference and laughing and saying  “isn’t this great? I get to play arcade games on your dime.  “
I don’t care, candidly, that they chant and sing about me in a not very nice way.  I’m the Governor of New Jersey, there are gonna be people who say bad things about me every day.
That’s fine, I don’t care, I really don’t.  This video is not about the things they say about me, this video is about the things they say about themselves. About themselves.  And if you need an example of what I’ve been talking about for the last nine months about how the teachers’ union leadership is out of touch with the people and out of control, go watch this video.  It’s enlightening, it’s enraging.
Here is the video, from Project Veritas, that Gov. Christie raved about:
