The vast American heartland wherein resides 'the great silent majority' is every bit as engaged and motivated as when the Tea Party movement began in response to the horrific anti-American agenda of the Obama Administration. Conservatives in this nation are appalled by what they see, and although many may be depressed and discouraged at this point, there is simmering just beneath the surface an outrage that could boil over at any moment.
Conservatives sense that in spite of the historic shellacking voters gave to liberals in November of 2010, many are still not listening, particularly in the U.S. Senate and the White House. Even some Republicans still fail to get the message.
The following demands, as gleaned from the pleas and cries of concerned citizens across the fruited plain, are non-negotiable. They are fixed, and one way or another, politicians, and fellow Americans, must listen or there will be yet another tsunami of ousters in the next election. Many say that such ousters are already a given. We can only hope.
Here are the demands, in no particular order of importance. They are all important. And they are non-negotiable.
1. The national debt is so dangerous to the nation's survival that the budget must be cut. Republicans were elected to do the job. Citizens are behind these efforts. If Democrats do not cooperate, then shut down the government. NPR as a taxpayer funded entity must go. Planned Parenthood as a taxpayer funded entity must go. Eliminiate entire departments such as Education, Energy, the EPA, and Commerce. Cut federal government salaries by 20% across the board. Make it unattractive to work at taxpayer expense unless one views it as 'public service' and not a means by which to make more money than one can make in the private sector.
2. Pubic sector unions should be outlawed. Under no circumstances should taxpayers be held hostage by a union. Striking against taxpayers, the citizens, is the ultimate act of anti-Americanism and must be dealt with harshly. All states should be made right-to-work states that correct a terrible injustice in forcing union participation as a condition of employment. And having dues automatically withheld from paychecks without the consent of the workers is theft and should be prosecuted as such. This will reign in public sector entitlements that have brought state budgets to the brink of bankruptcy.
3. Congress must restore the stolen $103 billion dollars it illegally and secretly gave to fund ObamaCare last Spring, all while telling the public that no public funds would be used for the program in the short term. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi must be held to account for this betrayal of the public trust and disciplined appropriately. Republicans in Congress were not informed of the slush fund due to the fact that the 3000-page bill was rolled out only hours before the vote in the middle of the night.
4. Start drilling for oil in every area where there are known rich deposits. Obama has been held in contempt of court for failing to implement a direct court order to begin drilling again in the Gulf after the oil disaster. Citizens must demand that their elected representatives allow drilling in order to wean the nation from its dependence on foreign oil.
5. Seal and secure the southern border or else. The violence that is spililng over into the U.S. from Mexican drug cartels must end now. Put up the border fence and enforce it with armed troops. Send illegals back home immediately. This must be done or citizens themselves must take the matter into their own hands.
6. Congress must demand that Barack Obama immediately honor our mutual defense treaties with allies instead of the usual snub he delivers to Israel, Britain, and other U.S.-friendly countries. He must be instructed to stop cavorting with known U.S. enemies such as Iran, Hamas, Palestinians, and others in the region whose belief system automatically makes them a very present danger to the lives of Americans. We also know he has cavorted with Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi. Obama secretly negotiated the release of the Lockerbie bomber while telling the public his release was an outrage. We now know Qaddafi himself ordered the bombing in which Americans were killed. So why did Obama and two of this closest cohorts, Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan, travel to Libya for a secret meeting with the dictator just a few short years ago?
This needs a thorough investigation. There are impeachable offenses here that should be pursued.
It is time to get down to the nitty-gritty of saving the nation from enemies within. There is no time to waste, and there can be no wavering in our resolve.
